In a historical moment for Indian music, Jhalaa, a new Raga -based musical ensemble, which is presented at the prestigious Summit of Waves in Mumbai on May 1. The name Jhalaaa, extracted from the classic Hindustani lexicon, refers to the climulating climax of a raga, an intense rhythmic and rhythmic final that leaves the listeners without breath. This historical initiative is the flagship project under the Bharat Maestro Awards, launched earlier this year by the Ar Rahman musical legend to celebrate the musical heritage of India and raise the next generation of classic musicians. Commissioned by Rahman himself, Jhalaa was formed through a search for global talent that received more than 500 tickets, which finally gathered the best young artists who formally train Indian classical music and classical dance forms.
