Immune cells are critical to efficacy of coronavirus vaccinations: Study

A study led by researchers at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and the New York Genome Centre has provided new information on the role of T cells in successful vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The study found that CD8+ T cells, which target and attack key proteins of the virus, are critical to early protection provided by mRNA vaccines.
