The Cyberab Traffic Police carried out drunk driving exams in Hyderabad on Friday.
Continuing with the repression of drunk driving, the Cyberab Traffic Police reserved 247 people in several areas of the commission on Friday.
The reserved included 189 two -wheeled passengers, 44 four -wheeled drivers, 13 three -wheeled operators and a heavy vehicle driver.
Chevella recorded the largest number of cases at 28, followed by Jeedimetla with 24, RC Puram – 23 and Shadnagar – 22.
In particular, no cases were reserved in Miyapur and Kphb duration of this operation.
The 247 criminals were men. The blood alcohol content (BAC) levels registered among the offenders showed trends. While 48 criminals had BAC levels below 50 mg/100 ml, a significant number was found, 104 individuals, within the range of 51–100 mg/100 ml. Another 52 registered between 101–150 mg/100 ml, 20 between 151–200 mg/100 ml and 18 between 201–300 mg/100 ml. Alarm levels were observed in five cases in which the BAC was between 301–500 mg/100 ml.
The breakdown in terms of age revealed that most criminals belonged to the age group of 21-30, which saw 93 cases, followed by the age group of 31 to 40 years with 88 cases, 49 in the age group of 41 to 50 years and 13 were between 51 and 60. In particular, there are no minors or individuals over 60 years in this path.
Police said those reserved will be produced before court and will be responsible for legal actions. The department also warned that any person trapped driving under the influence and causing fatal accidents will be reserved for guilty homicide that does not equivalent to murder, and the offenders could face up to 10 years in prison together with a fine.
