A 39 -year -old man died after being hit by an elevator in a complex of residential apartments in Surararam, Medchal.
According to the police, the victim, Akbar Patel, tried to recover a Cricket ball that had fallen into the elevation axis of the building’s warehouse level. While leaning on the axis to look for the ball, the elevator, which was on a upper floor, suddenly activated.
“As the elevator descended, he hit the victim on the head with fatal force. The impact was so severe that he died on the spot,” said a police officer. An investigation is underway in the circumstances that lead to the accident.
