Four people died and fears that several others catch under the rubble after a building collapsed in the Mustafabad de Delhi area in the early hours of Saturday.

The teams of the National Disaster Response (NDRF) and the Delhi Police are in the place to carry out a rescue operation, authorities said.

A video shared by the Ani news agency captured the locals that helped rescue teams to clean the debris after the collapse of the house in the Mustafabad area of ​​Delhi.

Rajendra Atwal, divisional firefighters, said a call was received about the collapse of the house around 2:50 am on Saturday, after which rescue teams rushed to the place.

“We received a call on a collapse from the house around 2:50 am … we arrived at the scene and discovered that the whole building had collapsed and that people were kicked under the rubble … NDRF and Delhi’s firefighters are working to rescue people,” he said.

The incident of the house collapse occurred only a few hours after a sudden change in Delhi’s weather on Friday night when heavy rains and thunderstorms whipped several parts of the city.

In a separate incident last week, a wall of a building under construction collapsed a storm of severe dust near the Madhu Vihar Police Station, leaving a dead person and two other wounds.
