Once they spent their days attending fields and families, with little thought in a race beyond the limits of their people. But now, the thesis 40 of the rural women of Srkalahasti are redefining their futures armed with makeup brushes, beauty kits and a new sense of purpose as state -owned state ready to enter the world of well -being and the Selfrianance.

Its transformation is the result of a 90 -day aesthetic training course, part of a skill development initiative launched by Electrosseel Castings Limited (ECL) under its corporate social responsibility efforts (CSR). The company, which manufactures ductile iron pipes and accessories, has extended its reach to the villages that surround their plant equating local women with employable skills.

Two lots have completed the training until now, with 40 women who receive their certificates from the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Tipati, N. Moulya, in a farewell event held in Srkalahasti on Wednesday. The success of the program has aroused interest, with a third lot of 30 women already registered, proof that the initiative not only changes life but is also remodeling mentalities in rural communities.

Appreciating the initiative aimed at guaranteeing the economic independence of women from the semi -urban and low -income strata, Mrs. Mourya suggested to the stoistas to use social media platforms such as X and Instagram to market their products and services.

The Executive Director of ECL, Suresh Khandelwal, recalled the company’s previous success with the tailoring and fashion design courses, and talked about the last initiative to train local women as professional estas. Dorai Rauj, senior general manager of the Srkalahasti Unit, highlighted ECL’s continuous commitment to improve the living standards of communities around their plant through specific dissemination programs.

Later, Mrs. Moulya visited the wastewater treatment plant from where ECL sources treated water for their industrial operations. Thanking his support for the MCT, Mr. Khandelwal highlighted the company’s allied ecological initiatives, including the productive reuse of general waste.

The deputy director of Operations Rajiv Prakash was also present at the event.
