The Andhra Pradesh government has sought its war against illicit liquor with a massive interest repression aimed at the smuggling operations and elaboration of beer along its borders with Odisha, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

The coordinated application effort, part of the ‘Navodayam 2.0’ initiative of the State, has resulted in large -scale convulsions, destruction of illegal liquor and the dismantling of several beer elaboration configurations.

According to the directive of the main secretary Mikesh Kumar Meena, the Department of Prohibition and Special Taxes deployed 381 officers -228 of AP and 153 of the neighboring states -Execute the raids through the border districts.

Commissioner Nishhant Kumar and compliance director Rahul Dev Sharma led the operations, which covered several high -risk regions and yielded significant results.

Mr. Nishhant Kumar said Monday that officials destroyed more than 49,000 liters of Jaggery Fermented washing and confiscated more than 2,000 liters of distilled liquor (ID) illegal in Srikakulam and the district of Parvathypuram-Manyam Odisha. In the district of ASR, Bringing Telangana, 25,300 liters of Washing by Jaggery Fermented were destroyed during the duration in Gunduvari Gudem and Pichhukulapadu.

Meanwhile, the preventive operations in Chittoor along the border of Tamil Nadu led to the dismantling of 50 brewery units, Althehen production activities were found.

In the districts of Anantapur and Sri Satya Sai near the border of Karnataka, the application teams reserved 11 cases, destroyed more than 1,600 liters of Jaggery Fermented washing and arrested several people involved in illegal trade.

Cross -border collaboration

Commissioner Nishant Kumar emphasized the importance of cross -border collaboration and praised the participation of central forces such as the CRPF in the left -wing extremism areas (LWE).

Compliance director Rahul De Dev Sharma said operations under Navodayam 2.0 would continue with more intensity to dismantle liquor networks.

The repression marks a decisive step to stop the smuggling of cross -border liquor and has established a precedent for the cooperation of application of multiple states, they observed.
