AG’s office employee arrested for Cannabis cultivation at rented house

A special special tax squad on Thursday arrested an employee of the Office of the General Accountant for allegedly growing cannabis plants in his rented house in Kamaleswaram. The defendant has been identified as Jathin (27), a Native of Rajasthan. According to Apshahjahan, inspector of Circle, who directed the raid, five cannabis plants of the terrace were recovered. A lot of seeds and implements used for cultivation were also seized. The defendant has been staying in place during the last 10 months. He thought he was staying with two other employees of the AG office, the special tax team did not obtain any evidence to link them with the cultivation of cannabis plants. The special tax team began the raid after the secret information approved by a source.
