All arrangements have a leg made for the annual “Kumbhotsavam” or the goddess Bhramaramba in the Srisailam temple on April 15. As part of the ritual, lemon, pumpkin, coconuts and cooked rice will be sacrificed to the goddess as a ‘satvika’). According to the temple officials, Kumbhotsavam is held on Tuesday or Friday, which comes first after the Pournami Day of Chaitra Masam. Arjitha Sevas at the Lord Mallikarjuna Temple Swamy would be held until the afternoon and Darshan and Arjitha Sevas del Lord will be arrested at night. Kalyanotsavam and Ekanta Seva or Lord Mallikarjuna and the goddess Bhramaramba were also canceled that day.

According to the law, any child, killing, animals or birds in the city of the temple is prohibited and the executive officer of the temple, M Srinivasa Rao, has asked several interested departments to take measures to avoid such a child of incidence. RTC officials were asked to control the transport of chickens or any other animal in their buses that arrived in Srisailam.
Local income officers and police officers were asked to make checks at Tollgate and also assured that the cooperation assigns the temple staff to perform the checks. The engineering and advertising wings have been asked to install in the city of the temple in the prohibition or killing of animals in the city of the temple.
The EO asked the Police Department to increase the vigil and deploy additional personnel for that purpose. The officials and temple staff also requested that they maintain a vigil in the killing of animals in the streets of Mada, the temple of Ankalamma, the Pancha Matams near Mahishasuramardhini and other places.
Meanwhile, the EO asked the temple safety wing to make sure it is not a stamped situation in the tail lines, since a large number of devotees are expected to visit the temple in the day.
