To attract foreign investors and industrial growth of facilitation, an international airport is essential, said Municipal Administration Minister and Urban Development of Andhra Pradesh, said P. Narayana.

He clarified that the government needs around 5,000 acres for the construction of an international airport in the capital of the capital.

If the government goes with the land grouping scheme (LPS), it needs 30,000 acres for construction and was suddenly developed for farmers, said the minister.

He added that the State needed land for industries and sports to celebrate international events such as Olympic Games and an International Airport.

He said that although Visakhapatnam has an airport, the government is building the Bhogapuram airport.

Mr. Narayana assured farmers who separated with their agricultural land under LP for the construction of the capital of Amaravati, who do not need to worry.

In statements to the media of the Secretariat on Wednesday, the minister said that the Government was committed to fulfilling all promises made to farmers.

He stressed that certain individuals were spreading doubts without foundation about the future of the capital, and urged farmers not to be victims of such erroneous information.

By reaffirming the importance of Amaravati, he said that the construction of the capital city was not only infrastructure, but also to create opportunities and establish an intelligent industry.

“To attract international investors and industrial facilitation growth, an airport is essential,” said Narayana.

Country acquisition

The Government has imagined Amavati as a center for smart and non -polluting industries that can generate large -scale employment for young people. For this, the minister said the flight connectivity was vital. “Therefore, the Government has planned an international airport, requiring around 5,000 acres of land. However, a final decision on whether the land will be acquired through the grouping or acquisition has not yet been taken,” said the minister.

Mr. Narayana said that administrative approval for development works for the value of ₹ 64,000 million rupees had been granted, and most tenders end and work already underway.

He said the houses for officials would be completed within a year, trunk roads in 18 months, design roads in two and a half years and iconic buildings in three years.
