The Minister of the Interior of the Union and the main leader of BJP, Amit Shah, arrived in Pune on Friday (April 11, 2025) at night in the midst of tensions over low heat within the Mahayuti ruling alliance on the unresolved guardian Minister of the Rigad district. Prime Minister Devendra Fadnavis received Mr. Shah upon arrival.

On Saturday, Mr. Shah is scheduled to visit Fuerte Raigad, where he will pay floral taxes in the Marathha Warrior King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj monument. He will be head of Sutarwadi for a lunch meeting at the residence of the president of the state of NCP and the deputy of Raigad Sunil Tatkare. The invitation was extended personally by Mr. Tatkare and accepted by Mr. Shah.
The visit assumes the political importance as Rigad remains a bone of the discussion between the partners of the Alliance: Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), BJP and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). Mr. Shah’s itinerary includes attributing a Platinum Jubilee event by Gujarati Weekly in Mumbai, followed by strategic discussions with BJP officials.
