The main suppliers of India of Apple, Foxconn and Tata, sent almost $ 2 billion in iPhones to the United States in March, a maximum of all time, since the US company was transmitted to the devices to avoid the imminent tariffs, the customs data of President Donald Trump.

This included Apple iPhone 13, 14, 16 and 16 models, and Total Tok Foxconn shipments from India to the United States this year to $ 5.3 billion.
Tata Electronics exports, another Apple supplier, were $ 612 million in March, around 63% higher than the previous month, and included iPhone 15 and 16 models.
Apple, Foxconn and Tata did not immediately respond to comments requests. Reuters is the first to inform the details of the shipment.
Customs data showed that all Foxconn shipments to the United States in March were air from Chennai’s air load terminal and landed in several places, including Los Angeles and New York, with Chicago receiving the majority.
Later, Trump granted exclusions from pronounced tariffs on smartphones and some other imported electronic products largely from China, but then indicated that exemptions will probably be short -lived.
To accelerate shipments, Apple Indian airport authorities pressed to reduce the time needed to eliminate customs at Chennai airport in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, up to six hours from 30 hours.
At least six cargo jets were used in the operation, which a source described as a form of “overcoming rates.”
