Assam BJP altercation: An alleged video or the president of Assam BJP, Dilip Saikia, the Minister of the state cabinet Jayanta Malla Baruah, in front of the main minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has won generalized attention, with the opposition congress mocking the ruling party.

The incident took place in Bahjani in the Nalbari district during the inauguration of the new mandal office for Sarma on Sunday.

In the viral clip video, Saikia can be seen scolding Baruah, who is the MLA of the Constitution of Nalbari. Hello, they also reported that the local officials of the party eliminated the president of Mandal from the scene. You can see Sarma standing next to Baruah, while Saikia seemed agitated.

According to a party leader, Saikia was upset for not being able to enter the place while CM, Baruah and Mandal President were inside and asked Baruah how this could happen in his constitution.

“This was not a government program, but an event of the party. The head of the state party should obtain the primary importance. I think the state president felt that due respect was not given, and that incident happened,” the PTI news agency touched.

The president of the Assam Congress, Bhupen Borah, described the altercation an exhibition of the cracks between “RSS-Loyalistas” in the BJP and the “new guard” of the party.

Saikia, who is also the deputy of Darrang-Udalguri, became BJP state president earlier this year and has grown within the RSS and BJP for almost four decades. On the other hand, many of the most prominent faces of the BJP in the state, including Sarma and Baruah, are relatively recently imports to the party in the last decade, both of the Congress.
