In a turn to a Rage incident on the Sush road, the Police on Monday (April 14) arrested Abhishek Shetty, 25, a former Surathkal school bus driver, for the alleged murder of Mohammmed Shareef, 59, a driver of Authorickshaw from Mangaluru. Shareef’s body was found in a well in Kunjathur on April 10.
According to the police, the reason was a confrontation in a traffic crossing in Mangaluru, where Shetty supposedly faced Shareef for the right of passage. According to reports, the statement given by Shetty to the police, believes that a group of car drivers, supposedly led by Shareef, began to deliberately block his bus. “Hey also said that Shareef had filed complaints about his imprudence, which dismissed him from school,” said a police officer.
After this, according to the reports, Shetty hired Sharef’s car on the night of April 9 and allegedly directed it to a place section in Kunjathur, about 36 km away. There, he informed Shareef on the back of the neck before throwing the body in a well.
Police said that Shetty, who had a history of drug -related crimes, was probably under the influence of narcotics at the time of the alleged murder. It was tracked after the researchers scanned images of 280 CCTV cameras.
