The interim trade advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Sheikh Bashir Uddin, on Thursday (April 10, 2025) said that his country would not face any problem due to the canelization of the transmission facilities by India and Dhaka.

His comments occurred a day after India announced on Wednesday the withdrawal of the transmission installation that had granted to Bangladesh to export varied items to Western Asia, Europe and other countries, except Nepal and Bután.

“Just yesterday, the discussions were heroes with commercial representatives of several sectors; only buyers were present. We will try to overcome the crisis through our agreements,” said Bangla Language newspaper, said Mr. Bashir Uddin. Sprohom Alo.

He said that Bangladesh was working to make sure there was no deficiency in competitiveness through his abilities.

“Commercial capacity will be improved. Simultaneously, the steps are tasks to ensure that they are not deficiencies in connectivity either,” he said answering the questions of journalists.

When asked what measures would be taken after this development, Mr. Bashir Uddin said: “There are some problems related to infrastructure, while there are some problems related to the increase in costs: we are working on these matters. We hope that the challenges can be overflow.” When asked if Bangladesh plans to send a formal letter to India regarding cancellation, the commerce advisor said: “At present, the issue of sending a letter is not under consideration.” “Since the United States has suspended additional tariffs for three months, this provides immediate relief and allows time for more discussions,” he added.

Controversial statement

The announcement of India occurred in the context of the controversial statement made by the main advisor Muhammad Yunus in China recently that the seven states of the northeast of India, which share a border of almost 1,600 km with Bangtladesh, were listed and have the slats and have. Country.

In his speech in a commercial event, where he said that Bangladesh was the “only guard” of the Indian Ocean in the region, Mr. Yunus had also invited China to send products through Bangladesh worldwide.

The comments did not go well in New Delhi. It also caused acute reactions of political leaders in India in the lines of the party.

Bangladesh has been using several Indian ports and airports for its exports to Western Asia, Europe and many other countries.

India has exempted Bangladesh exports to Nepal and Bután, since such commercial facilitation is mandatory for countries without coastline under the framework of provisions of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The relations of India-Bangladesh have been dramatically expelled after Mr. Yunus could not contain attacks against minorities, special Hindus, in that country.
