BBMP achieves 94.62% property tax collection in 2024-25

The Buchat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) raised ₹ 4,930 million rupees in the property tax in the financial year 2024-25, a significant increase of around ₹ 1 billion rupees compared to 2023-24, when the total amount collected was ₹ 3,918.

While the total BBMP objective for this year was ₹ 5,210.47 million rupees, it achieved a 94.62%collection.

Surplus target

Excending the objective of BBMP, the Yelahanga area achieved a tax collection of 104.36% that amounted to ₹ 464.66 million rupees, followed by the Mahadevapura area that a collection of 100.12% with ₹ 1,310.58 million rupees, which is also the same.

With ₹ 733.65 million rupees, the southern zone reached 95.34% collection, East Zone achieved 93.52% with ₹ 843.14 million rupees and the Dasarahalli area collected ₹ 152.94 million rupees reaching a collection of 92.72%. The west zone was sixth with a collection of ₹ 562.61 million rupees (92.17%), Rajajeshwari Nagar collected ₹ 381.75 million rupees (87.89%), while Bommanahalli achieved the lowest percentage of 83.75%.
