The believers of the nearby states show a pilgrimage to the miracle cross in the Mountain NoGad in the Belagavi district on Friday. Men and women of different religions, including GOA pilgrims and parts of Maharashtra, participated in the diocesan repair day he was a hero on the historic and miraculous cross on the top of Nandgad Hill as part of the Lenten season.

Many of them enchant a pilgrimage to walk to the Cruz de Nandgad, while others separate in the services of a day that praised Friday morning. Bishop Derek Fernandes presided over the special services of prayer and the Holy Mass at noon held at the top of Nandgad’s hill. The young people did a play on the passion of Christ on the top of the hill.

In his sermon, Bishop Fernandes urged people not only to regret their misdeeds and sins, but to step forward and overcome the same to be more refined and spiritual people in society.

“Today, we deeply reflect on the issue of repair. The call to RPENT is not new: God has spoken this call through his prophets, as Jonah did. When Jonah was sent to Nineveh, he initially tried to run. And he sat in ashes.

He also declared that sin damages more than our relationship with God: it also damages other people. It can affect the property, reputation, someone’s tranquility or even their auto-vorth. The repair means doing what we can to cure wounds: to restore, we have broken, rebuilding what we have knocked down, Bishop Fernandes appealed to people to examine themselves and seek the forgiveness of God. “We arrive at those who have injured and make peace whenever possible,” Bishop Fernandes appealed.

Vicar General Fr. Philip Kutty, pastor Fr. Shantappa Borker and other priests were present. Youth also promulgated a live form of the cross that presented the ‘passion of Christ and his death on the cross,’ said a statement.
