A delegation of BJP leaders inspected on Thursday the wastewater treatment plant in Appu Ghar after complaints from the locals for not working on the plant.
The former president of the District of BJP Visakhapatnam, Ravindra Medapati, and the current president of the MMN District Parousurama Raju along with the party’s leaders visited the plant. Speaking on the plant site, Mr. Ravindra said they have visited the plant after the complaints of the locals about the bad smell that emanates in the location. “The negligence of the previous government had led to the lack of functions of filtering machines and contaminated water is also entering the sea directly causing damage to aquatic life,” he said.
The Government of the NDA delivered the plant to a private company and the firm’s officials have assured the BJP delegation that the machinery will be modernized and will work in two or three months. The machinery will be used at its optimal level and the muddy water will be treated and released in the sea, firm reproductive to the BJP delegation said.
