Telangana Minister for Panchayati Raj D. Anasuya ‘Seethakka’ has said that the BJP is trying to bring ‘Manudharma’ (Manu Rules) in India, instead of the Constitution.
Speaking in the Dr. Br Ambedkar commemoration program as part of ‘Thrivaresavam’, the one -month program in relation to the opening of the new Office of the District Congress Committee in Kozhikode, on Tuesday (April 15, 2025), Anasuya said that if it were not for the Constitution, a tribal woman like her would not have become a MLA or Minister. “But our Constitution is now in danger, and we, citizens, have the duty to protect it,” he said.
She claimed that the BJP was trying to ‘divide and govern’ as the British did, creating confusion and spreading erroneous information. The Congress has begun a battle like the one fought against the British, to “recover” India, he said.
Mrs. Anasuya said that Ambdekar did not live for himself, but lived and died in the country. “Congress will not allow anyone to insult Ambedkar,” he added.
The president of DCC, K. Praveenkumar, presides over the event.
