The bodies of Matti Prakash Kumar, 15, or Nidadavolu, and Gandham Harsha, 18, or the city of Rajamahendravaram were recovered from Vijjeswaram Point in Sir Arthur Cotton Barge in the Eastern Godavari district on Tuesday. The children had drowned on Monday while they bathed on the Godavari River.
The Minister of Tourism and Culture, Kandula Durgesh, confirmed in an official release that the bodies of the two children were recovered from door search operations, which were delayed due to the depth of the river.
An autopsy was performed at the General Government Hospital in Rajamahendravaram, and the police delivered the bodies to the families.
