The Rural Police of Nelalangala has registered a Suo motu Case against the management of a rehabilitation center after a video or personnel allegedly torturing a resident, after he refused to fulfill his orders, viral on social networks.

Taking the knowledge of the incident, two cases have been registered against the staff and the management of the Sai Freedom Foundation. While one appears to the resident, another case is against the owner of the center using a sword to cut his birthday cake, CK Baba, SP, the Rural District of Bengaluru.

According to the reports, the incidents occurred a few days ago and the resident was admitted to the hospital.

Residents and relatives alleged that the staff brutally defeated them in the rehabilitation outfit if they did not agree to do servile work.

Police said they were verifying the accusations to determine if the center, recognized by the state government, had violated the norms.

Police visited the center on Tuesday and asked residents and staff as part of the investigation.
