The Guruvayur temple police have registered a case against Jasna Salem, a native of Kozhikode, for allegedly filming and sharing a video of the east of nothing from the Sreekrishna temple, Guruvayur, challenging a directive issued by Kerala High.

A case has been accused against him under section 192 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for allegedly trying to incite public disturbances through the law. The incident has caused a debate on security protocols and the application of judicial directives in places of cult.

Social networks

According to the preliminary research report, Mrs. Salem created a Krishna idol in the east of nothing of the Guruvayur temple and recorded a video of the law, which was then shared on social media platforms.

Mrs. Salem, who identifies as devotee or Lord Krishna, previously stirred the controversy after publishing a video or cutting a cake in front of the Guruvayur temple. After a complaint filed by the Guruvayur Devashom Board, the Superior Court imposed restrictions to film videos inside the temple catwalk. The court indicated that the temples are sacred spaces for worship, and record such videos and circular them on social networks are unacceptable.

Despite the ruling of the Superior Court, Mrs. Salem filmed another controversial video in the temple.
