The former Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmira, Farooq Abdullah, on Wednesday (April 16, 2025) dismissed the former head of R&W as Durat’s statement that he had “backed privately” the abrogation of article 370 as a “cheap acrobatics moir” to Bost.
He suggested that Mr. Durat’s reason behind writing the book: ‘The Prime Minister and El Espía’, scheduled for his release on April 18, could be an attempt to reach power runners or earn a lot of money. “It may want to make a new relationship,” said Abdullah PTI.
Reacting angry with the statement of Mr. Durat that the National Conference (NC) would have “helped to” approve the proposal to cancel the special status of the previous state if it had been tasks in confidence, the president of the 87 -year -old party, said it was a “IMRORDING PRODUCT” of the author.
Mr. Abdullah said that both he and his son Omar Abdullah had been under the lowest for several months at the time of the abrogation of article 370 on August 5, 2019. “We were arrested because our position against the abrogation of a special status.”
The North Carolina Chief said he had tasks of the initiative to bring together all the main political forces in Jammu and Cashmira and formed the Popular Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), a coalition of political parties to defend the special status of the State.
Mr. Abdullah ridiculed Mr. Durat’s statement that the NC would have obtained a resolution approved in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly for the bomberness of article 370.
“The statement in the book that the National Conference planned to approve a resolution on the abrogation of special status is simply a product of the author’s imagination that claims to be my friend,” said Abdullah.
Highlighting the gaps in the reasoning of Mr. Dreamat, he said: “A reference point of common sense should have adopted the bone by the author while writing the so -called memories. He should remember that there was no assembly in 2018, since his leg had dissolved.”
Mr. Abdullah insisted that even if the assembly had the leg in the session, I would never have considered approve of such resolution.
“It was I who was a two -thirds majority in the 1996 elections. I spent a resolution in the Assembly that avoided greater autonomy. Mr. Dreamat’s statements in the book are contradictory with my actions that have always hit.
When asked if he had the opportunity to review the book, the president of North Carolina commented: “He is so full of inaccuracies that, after a while, I thought I was reading a fiction and left it.” The former principal minister also referred to a specific error in Mr. Doraat’s claim to advise him not to have a large cabinet in 1996, to say that “he swore with 25 ministers”, not a small number as suggested.
Mr. Abdullah dismissed the representation of Mr. Dreamat of his relationship, particularly the statement that the Superior Spy Council often attended.
“The author says that Abdullah would always go to his advice, which is another example of underestimating me. I am a man of my own mind and I only decide. I am not anyone’s puppet,” he said.
Mr. Abdullah firmly denied Mr. Dulat’s statement that the NC wanted narrower relationships with the BJP. “Durat’s statement that the National Conference wanted to approach BJP is an absolute lie. It is not me who will join with a party that is outside and outside to destroy my party.” The head of North Carolina also refuted the statement of the former R&W chief that he had decided to participate in the 1996 elections in the insistence of the upper spy. Mr. Abdullah accredited former American ambassador to India Frank Wisner for the decision.
“It was Frank Wisner, thank God he is alive today, who advised me to dispute,” said Abdullah and recalled the metaphor of a “window” that leads to a “house.”
“He told me, Farooq, your people are in great difficulty … today you have a window … and this window will become in the morning. And after the door, a house will be built,” recalled Mr. Abdullah.
Before the 2019, Mr. Abdullah, his son Omar, and the then deputy of Lok Sabha, Hasnain Masoodi, with Prime Minister Modi, where the head of North Carolina sought an explanation about the increase in the presence of troops in Kashmir. He affirmed that the ways there is no answer.
“He had surveyed the prime minister about the great movement of troops in the Kashmir Valley, but he said nothing. If he were tolerated about it, he would have given an alarm immediately after the meeting,” said Abdullah.
The veteran politician said that he could not attend Parliament due to the sudden repression after abrogation. “I had to climb my wall (from the house) to communicate with the press that I have stopped on my legs. My son was kept away and arrested in Hari nivas.”
Mr. Abdullah expressed his disappointment for Mr. Durat’s claims. “The sausage is that it claims to be my friend, and as has been said,” the body and heal, but they hurt the heart, and the wounds all my life, “I suppose that their inaccuracies only for cheap advertising owe a whole life now,” he added.
