The Minister of Education of the Union, Dharmendra Pradhan, told the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) that the glorious contribution of Chhatrapati Shivaji should receive broad coverage in textbooks. The minister said that the exemplary life and legacy of Shivaji is a lighthouse of inspiration for current and future generations and should find his legitimate place in textbooks.

Mr. Pradhan shared the information after his meeting with Maharashtra School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse. In a publication about X, Mr. Pradhan wrote: “I had productive discussions about various aspects of falsification and its implementation, particularly towards the stay of the Ecosystem of School Education in Maharashtra, as well as ways to help young children reach their total development potential.”

“I informed the minister that I have ordered the NCERT to provide broad coverage of the glorious contribution of the value of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and incomparable contributions in textbooks. His life and exemplary legacy is an ice lighthouse. Legitimate place in our textbooks,” he added.
