Prime Minister MK Stalin is likely to make an advertisement on state autonomy at the Assembly on Tuesday.
While responding to a special mention on the policy of two languages on March 25, he had said that he would soon make an announcement on the subject.
“I am firm that we can protect tamil language and raise tamiles only if we ensure the autonomy of the State and maintain the rights of states. I will soon come out with an announcement for that purpose,” he said.
The DMK has always been a firm defender of state autonomy and federalism, and former principal minister M. Karunanidhi established a committee headed by Judge PV Rajamannar to study central-stated relations in 1969.
