Chinese Foreign Minister Wang speaks to NSA Doval, calls for lasting ceasefire with Pakistan

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke with the National Security Advisor of India (NSA) Ajit Doval and expressed the hope that New Delhi and Islamabad address their differences through dialogue and achieve a high durable fire.

Duration of his conversation, Mr. Doval told Mr. Wang that the war was not the choice of India, but India needed to take anti -terrorist measures after Pahalgam’s attack, the Xinhua state news agency reported in separate offices.

Mr. Wang also condemned the terrorist attack of April 22 at the Pahalgama of Jammu and Kashmira, who had cross -border links and triggered the sausage struggle between India and Pakistan in years.

Mr. Wang also spoke with the Vice Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Xinhua reports said.

The hostilities shot between India and Pakistan after the Indian army hit the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Kashmir (Pok) of Pakistan (Pok) on May 7 in response to Pahalgam’s attack, which charged 26 lives.

The two nuclear weapons neighbors on May 10 reached an understanding to stop all military shots and actions on land, air and sea with immediate effect after four days of intense cross -border and missile strikes.

In his conversations with Mr. Doval, Mr. Wang expressed the hope that India and Pakistan remain calm and restricted, properly handle the differences through dialogue and consultation, and avoid increasing the situation, according to Xinhua’s reports.

Mr. Wang said that China supports and expects India and Pakiefan to achieve a high and lasting fire through the consultation, which is of fundamental interest of the two countries and meets the common aspiration of the international community.

He said that China condemns the terrorist attack in Pahalgama and opposes all forms of terrorism.

By pointing out that the world is experiencing transformation and agitation, Wang said that peace and stability in Asia are hard and deserve to be appreciated. India and Pakistan are neighbors who cannot be transferred and both are residents of China, he said.

Mr. Doval told Mr. Wang that Pahalgam’s attack resulted in serious casualties for the Indian side and that India needed to take anti -terrorist measures.

The war is not the choice of the Indian side and does not interest both sides, Mr. Doval said, and added that both India and Pakistan will be committed to the high fire and hope to restore regional peace and stability as soon as possible, according to reports.

In his conversation with Dar, the reports said, Wang said that, as a neighbor of Pakistan and India, China is concerned about the conflict between the two.

He said that China believes that Pakistan will make decisions according to their fundamental interests and long term.

Dar told Wang that Pakistan is willing to achieve a high fire with India, but that he will respond to any act that violates its outbound and territorial integrity.

By pointing out that Pakistan is in the first line of the international struggle against terrorism, Wang said that China supports its continuous firm efforts against terrorism, according to Xinhua’s reports.

Before India and Pakistan agreed to high the fire, China urged the two countries on Saturday to exercise calm and reverse, and return to the track of a peaceful settlement.

China is closely following the current situation between India and Pakistan, and is deeply concerned about climbing, said Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously in a statement.

“We firmly urge both parties to act in greater interest in peace and stability, exercise calm and reverse, return to the track of the political settlement through peaceful means and refrain from an action that could cross out, Saidsions,” the statement.

This will be important for the fundamental interest of India and Pakistan, and for a stable and peaceful region. This is also what the international community expects to see. China is willing to continually play a constructive role for this purpose, he said.
