The Bharatiya Janata ruling party and the workers of the opposition Congress party faced Bonli in the Rajasthan Sawai Madhopur district on Monday (April 14, 2025) on the elimination of a plaque in the city’s Gerdabout. The MLA of the Bamanwas Congress, Indira Meena, was among those involved in the fight.
The plate was fixed on the pedestal at the duration of the Sunday of the statue, which was presented in Bonli two years ago the regime of Congress in the State. The plaque carried the names of Mrs. Meena and some other leaders of the Congress.
When BJP workers found out about this, they informed the party leaders in the city. The president of BJP Block, Hanuman Dixit and Panchayat Samiti Pradhan Krishan Poswal, arrived at the scene and demanded that the plaque be removed.
Mrs. Meena also arrived at the scene and raised the objection to the demand of BJP leaders. In the fight that followed, Mrs. Meena allegedly grabbed Mr. Dixit’s neck, which was sitting in her car.
The police hurried to the place to obtain information on the clash and controlled the situation. The plaque was confiscated and held in safe custody at the Bonli police station.
While Mr. Dixit questioned the rational Beind trying to put the plaque for work in the statue that was already completed two years ago, Mrs. Meena claimed that BJP workers, who were in an unbearned state, stopped the work of beautification, eliminated the plaque, broke the mosaics and were wrong with the police staff.
The MLA of the Congress said that the behavior of the BJP leaders on the birth anniversary of Ambedkar had his contempt for the feelings of Dalits, and said that the police did not take measures against them because their party was in the state.
