Veena Thaikkandiyil, the daughter of Kerala’s prime minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, and the other respondents in the case of payment of Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) will be issued by the Special Court considering the final complaint of the Office of Severe Fraud Investigation (Sfio) in short.
The decision to issue the notice was tasks after the Court determined that the crime of premium-favation was taken against the respondents after examining the final complaint filed by the investigation agency. The court also considered that the complaint free of defects. The complaint would be assigned a number before the warning is delivered to the respondents. Respondents can challenge the maintainability of the complaint with the court.
According to the reports, the Sfio had claimed that the EM. Veena and her now missing Ti exalogic Solutions had received “fraudulent payments” for a sum of ₹ 72.7 million Rupias of CMRL. The Sfio had listed Sasidharan Kartha, managing director of CMRL, Exalogic and Empower India Capital Investments Private Limited as the other respondents in the final complaint.
