Congress leader Sachin Pilot says Grand Alliance will decide CM face after the election results in Bihar

The general secretary of the Indian Congress Committee (AICC), Sachin Pilot, on Friday (April 11, 2025), caused a row by declaring that the main ministerial face of the Led Rashtriya Janata Dal-Congress alliance will be decided after winning the assembly elections.

Mr. Pilot’s statement occurred at a time when RJD’s leader and former Vice Minister in Chief Texashwi Yadav declared a candidate for CM of the Great Alliance in the next elections that are due in October to November.

Mr. Pilot was in Patna to join the final day of ‘Naukri do, Palayan Roko’ (giving employment, stopping migration) march on foot along with the National Union of Students of India (NSUI) in charge Kanhaiya Kumar.

“The choice [for Bihar] He has not declared his leg yet. When the election date would be declared, the alliance will play the elections. The alliance will win the elections with a majority and then the face of CM would be decided, “said Mr. Pilot when asked about the acceptance of the Supreme of RJD Lalu Prasad of his son as CM FACE during the press conference.

RJD’s main leaders have continually saying that Mr. Yadav will be the CM if they vote on power, including Mr. Prasad. Prasad even one step ahead saying that no one can prevent your child from becoming the Bihar Prime Minister in the Assembly elections.

Mr. Pilot, the former Rajasthan main vice minister, is not the only leader of Congress who has given a vague response or did not accept Mr. Yadav as the cm face of the opposition in Bihar.

Previously, the Bihar Congress by Krishna Allavou had expressed a similar opinion on the CM face of the coalition. Every time the media asked Mr. Allavou, he has distanced himself from supporting Mr. Yadav as the face of CM. Every time, he said that Congress will emerge stronger in Bihar.

Mr. Pilot also blamed the Government of the Democratic National Alliance (NDA) led by NITIH KUMAR for the increase in unemployment in Bihar.

The national president of NSUI, Varun Choudhay, said that the Bihar government is not giving clean jobs to young people, but is giving them Sangh work. Bihar is becoming a migration center. The national president of the Youth Congress, Uuday Bhan Chib, and the leader of the Congress, Suppriya Shrinate, were also present at the press conference.

Later in the day, Mr. Kumar’s police along with hundreds of members of NSUI were arrested by the police when they tried to put the CM house in support of their demands. Police also used water cannons to disperse protesters.
