The main leader of the Congress, Sooranad Rajasekharan, died in a private hospital in Kochi, Kerala, on Friday (April 11, 2025). He was a member of the Political Affairs Committee of the State Unit of the party.
He had also served the party and his food organizations in various capacities. He had underated in Parliament and the State Assembly.
He had also served as state vice president and president of the State Cooperative Bank.
His wife and children survive him.
Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan conded the death of Rajasekharan.
