The controversy plagued the launch of Ex-R & AW chief as Durat’s new book with the former Thakur president of the former justice of India, challenging himself of being the guest of honor and the veteran politician Farooq Abdullah also also stay away from the event.

The book had met controversy about certain statements attributed to Mr. Abdullah about the abrogation of article 370 in 2019, which allegedly indicated that the veteran politician had “backed privately” the measure.

In the midst of the political rage, the former J& K prime minister had described parts of the book “Imagination figures”. “He (Durat) is a resource to cheap acrobatics to increase the sales of his book. This book is full of mistakes. It is sad, if he considers me his friend and writes such incorrect things,” he said in a statement.

Mr. Abdullah, who was scheduled to maintain a conversation about the book with the journalist Vir Sanghvi at the launch, did not attend the event.

The former CJI TS Thakur, which appeared as the guest of honor, also skipped the program.

In a letter to Mr. Durat, falling on the event, Judge Thakur said: “While he had accepted his son’s invitation to participate in the release function, since yesterday (Wednesday) I have seen a political storm that is made in the print and electronic media for certain parts of Yourstreltibelt Ribith (Farooq) Abdullah whom he admires and treats as a valued friend.”

“I would not like to be seen ascending or supporting a book that is repudiated by the same person who writes the same hashes,” he said in the letter.

Reacting to the absence of Judge Thakur as a guest of honor, Mr. Dulat said in the launch that “the main guest today is Kashmir.”

He said I had leg suggestions to find another main guest for the launch of the book, but “I said for Kashmir, I don’t need a substitute.”

On the absence of Mr. Abdullah and the controversy surrounding the book, he said: “Someone has collected a for[graph] And they are citing everything wrong because English is a difficult language to understand. ”

The former R&W chief said that “one must read what comes before that and after that paragraph and then, if you reach the last page, you will understand what this book is about.” “This is one of the highest assignee leaders who is a legend and what anyone says that does not change,” he added.

Mr. Durat was the special director of the Intelligence Office before directing the research and analysis wing. After retirement, he became the advisor of the prime minister in Kashmir.
