A couple took their lives while in video call after their families disapproved of their relationship. The tragic incident occurred in the area of the Bamangola police station in Malda.
The deceased has a leg identified as Fultus Mandal, a daily salary worker from Khuardanga, and Rakhi Mandal, a superior secondary student of the Bamangola high school, who lives in Rakhalpukur.
According to local sources, the couple with during the last Durga Puja and later fell in love. Ujjwalarani mandal, Fultus’s mother, affirms that Rakhi’s family did not approve their relationship, which led them to die for suicide by insert Veneno.
