CPOs injured in alleged attack by suspect in vehicle-lifting case

Two Civil Police (CPO) officers of Wayanad suffered wounds in an alleged attack of a suspect in a case of vehicle lifting in Karasserry near Mukkom in Kozhikode on Thursday. The officers were reported, with a knife when they are accustomed to judging the suspect at home.

The wounded officers, Shalu and Noufal, were admitted to a private hospital in Mukkom. The suspect, identified as Arshad, was tasks in custody after the alleged incident.

Police said the two CPO suffered wounds in their hands. Another CPO had a narrow escape. An investigation is in the incident.
