Dawoodi Bohra community thanks Modi for bringing Waqf (Amendment) Act

A delegation from the Dawodi Bohra community on Thorsday Day (April 17, 2025) thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the promulgation of the WAQF Law (amendment), stating that it had been his demand for long data.

The delegation includes business leaders, professionals, doctors, educators and several outstanding representatives with Mr. Modi in his official residence. Remembering his strong connection with the community, the prime minister talked about the years of work that went to the law.

“He talked about the difficulties that people face due to WAQF and said that one of the key drivers behind the law was that most patients in the prevalent system Werne Women, especially widows,” said a press release.

Mr. Modi praised the tradition of the community of working for social welfare, which he had witnessed over the years. He highlighted the special contribution of the community to achieve the act. When the work in the legislation began, said the prime minister, one of the first people with whom he discussed the issue was Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, who great detailed opinions about several aspects.

The members of the community shared stories of how the properties that belong to the members of their community were claimed wrong by WAQF. Speaking about the benefits of the law, they said that the prime minister promulgated him not only for minorities, but also for the minority within minorities. When affirming that India had always allowed her identity to bloom, they said under the leadership of Mr. Modi, they felt the “spirit of inclusion.”

“Discuss the vision of the Prime Minister of Viksit Bharat [Developed India] By 2047, they expressed their commitment and all possible assistance on the trip to the development of India, ”he said, added that the delegation praised several government initiatives focused on people and their support for micro and medium enterprises.
