Drone startup Garuda Aerospace secures ₹100-crore funding

The drone startup based in Chennai Garuda Aerospace has raised ₹ 100 million rupees in its financing round of the Catalyst Series of Venture (Vcats ++), at an assessment of $ 250 million.

Founded in 2015 with a team of five, Garuda Aerospace has become a startup with about 200 employees. It now has the largest drone fleet in India, which consists of more than 400 drones and 500 pilots operating in 84 cities. Garuda Aerospace manufactures 30 types of drones and sacrifices 50 types of services. Companies clientele includes Tata, Godrej, Adani, Reliance, Swiggy, Flipkart, Delhivering, L&T, Survey of India, Sail, NTPC, IOCL, Smart Cities, Intel, Amazon, Wipro, Mit Boston and Nhai for Vari. The company was recently associated with global giants such as Lockheed Martin, Cognizant and Elbit Systems.
