A 37 -year -old leather merchant escaped to which his electric scooter caught fire on the terrace of his house in the Masters neighborhood that is under the limits of the municipality of Vaniyambadi in Tipattur on Friday. Police said Mohammed Munir, a leather merchant, bought a new electronic bicycle a few months ago. After completing the vehicle’s routine service, Munir returned to his electronic bicycle to his house. Then he has connected the bicycle to load the terrace of his house. After a while, he noticed the smoke emanating from the bicycle and a fire broke out. Immediately, the fire wrapped the entire vehicle. The residents and neighbors tried to turn off the fire, but could not do it. They alerted the police and firefighters in the city of Vaniyambadi, who after almost half an hour sprayed the fire. Police said an electric short circuit could be the reason for the incident. They also said that loading the vehicle for too long could cause the fire, since the vehicle had just returned from a complete review carried out in the service center.
