Eight workers fell ill due to ammonia gas leak in Nellore

According to reports, eight workers have tasks due to ammonia gas leak in a shrimp processing plant in Ananthapuram village of Thotapalli Gudur Mandal in the SPSR Nellore district on Saturday. However, the situation was controlled in a few hours.

According to the locals, the ammonia gas leaked in the machine room of the Base of Water. When the alarm rang, the staff was left without fear with rubber boots. They fell to the ground in panic and were transferred to the hospital.

“First aid were provided and they are all completely well. All of them were recovered and deactivated the same day. There are no problems in the plant at this time,” said the company’s representatives to the Telugu Desam (TDP) party that visited the plant.

Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandamohan Reddy Reddy asked about the gas leak incident of the officials and leaders of the TDP. He was informed that the impact of gas leakage is lower, was limited to the plant and that there was no problem for common people.

Nellore Rdo Naga Santosh Anusha has compiled complete details of the incident of the officials of the income and police departments. She said: “There was a slight gas leak in the compound of the shrimp processing plant. Management immediately made repairs.”

Contenting reports on social networks about the death of workers, the RDO said: “The plant is currently under normal conditions and there is no need to panic. I request the people of the district not to create any rumors. Theere was not loss of life.”
