The Prakasam collector, Thameem Anse, has ordered the officials of the Housing Department to accelerate the pending housing projects, in view of the additional financial sanctions carried out by the state government in this direction.

At a meeting on Friday with housing and engineering officials to review the status of several storage housing projects, he recalled the adjusted government plan to carry out the mass ‘Gruhapravesham’ in June throughout the state and deliver to the Lakh houses to the beneficiaries.

Consequently, 8,839 houses must be completed before May 31 in the district, or that 6,153 have not yet been completed. She ordered officials to pursue their goals, since summer is pleasant for the construction of housing projects.

Mrs. Anxaria wanted the department to use the additional allocation made to the beneficiaries of BC/SC/ST and also free sand, subsidized cement and construction material to occupy work on a warfoot.
