Up to 40 male sheds were destroyed after an accidental fire broke out in the Workers’ neighborhood in Vernanpalya in Govindapura in Bangalore on Saturday (April 12, 2025) at night. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.

The residents of the colony, employed in a toy factory and daily bets from other parts of the state, rushed to security along with their family members, as soon as they saw the fire in one of the sheds. The fire soon wrapped adjacent sheds, destroying goods and material worth several Lakhs.

The Govindapura police together with the fire and emergency service personnel rushed to the place and turned off the fire after four hours of fighting. Fire staff and police are investigating to determine the cause of fire.
