A great fire broke out in a dance academy in Elamakkara here on Saturday night. The Academy operated from the last floor of a three -story building.
Five fire tenders were used to put out the fire. The electric lines in the neighborhood were disconnected after the incident. A laboratory and a IT company worked on the floors underneath. Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to these floors.
A suspended short circuit caused the fire and a preliminary estimate put the loss in around ₹ 30 Lakh.
