Five arrested for smuggling ivory in Tiruchi

Five people were arrested and a couple of elephant fangs were seized by the Forestry of the Touchi district on Friday.

Acting on the contributions provided by the Wildlife Crime Control Office, a forest personnel team intercepted a vehicle in Ramji Nagar on the Touchi-Dindigul road and made consultations with the occupants. One of the passengers had a couple of elephant fangs, each with a weight of 750 and 500 grams. They were on their way to Labor to Touchi. The Officials Sub -Sequently Seized The Tusks and Arrestted K. Gnanasekaran of Subramaniyapuram in Tuchi and N. Ramaswamy, U. Thirupathi, T. Subramani, and T.
