Twelve migrant workers entered a hospital at the Government Medical College near here after a case of food poisoning, health officials said Friday.
Initially, workers had sought treatment at the Tripunithura Taluk government hospital after experiencing symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting on Thursday afternoon.
Later they were referred to the Government Medicine Hospital of the Government of Ernakulam in Kalamassery and admitted to the emergency department around 8.30 PM, Children’s Officials.
Health officials said the disease followed the consumption of homemade foods.
The Superintendent of the Medical College, Ganesh Mohan, said that all patients are in stable condition.
