The former minister and leader of the YSR Congress Party, Jogi Ramesh, appeared before the Crime Research Department (CID), in Vijayawada on Friday.
Responding to a notice that he gave him, Mr. Ramesh appeared for the investigation of a case before CID officials.
The case related to the attack against the former opposition leader and now the residence of Prime Minister N. Chandababu Naidu in Undavalli in 2021.
A group of YSRCP leaders organized a protest ahead or in the house of Mr. Naidu on October 19, 2021, when the incident occurred.
The Tadepalli Police registered a case, which was later transferred to the Cid.
In statements to the media later, Mr. Ramesh said the TDP government was trying to threaten YSRCP leaders by imposing false cases.
“I arrived at Mr. Naidu’s house in 2021, for organizing a protest. TDP activists damaged my vehicle and, in turn, presented a case against me,” Hey claimed.
