JC Police Nagar arrested four people from Nagpur, supposedly involved in multiple cases of chain fraze in the city and recovered 87 grams of gold value worth ₹ 6 Lakh of them.

The main defendant, identified as Shahid, along with his associates and family, identified as Shabbir, Tanveer and Ali Naki, all of Nagpur, were arrested. With the sentence, the Police claimed to have deciphered three cases of chain roots in Bangalore and a series of similar cases in Mysuru.

According to the Police, Shahid is a regular criminal reserved under the Organized Control or Crime Law of Maharashtra (Mcoca), 1999, and was imprisoned for one year. After his release from the prison in January earlier this year, the defendant formed a group with his relatives, bought a second -hand bicycle and a car for work, and arrived in Bangalore. While changing the tuition of the bicycle with a false, the car carried the original registration, that any it gave them, the police said.

Police said Shahid attacked older citizen women who walked alone throughout the city, since it is unlikely that he will resist effectively in chain. The duo snatched a gold chain from an older person in JC Nagar on March 3 and quickly moved away, but the entire incident was captured in the CCTV cameras.

Testing the case, JC Nagar police analyzed images of more than 150 CCTV cameras and caught the defendant’s trail. After the incident, the defendants were seen accelerating towards Chickaballapur and delivering the loot to people in a car. When the bicycle registration turned out to be false, the police tracked the previous owner of the car, who had sold the car to the defendant. They were possible trapped in Mysuru.
