An important anti-militancy operation was launched in Poonch del Valle del Pir Panjal after militants and security forces exchanged fire on Sunday (April 13, 2025) at night.
An army spokesman said that the security forces established contact with the terrorists who lasted a joint operation launched together with the J & K police in Lasana, Surankote, last night.
“Additional troops have been included, and search operations are ongoing to prevent terrorists from escaping,” said the army.
The number of militants hiding in the area could not be established immediately. The Jammu region saw the murder of five militants and four police officers who vibrated anti-militancy operations in the last month.
