From Padyatras To Internships: Inside Government’s Summer Engagement Plan For India’s Youth

The Ministry of Youth Affairs, under the My Bharat platform, has announced a series of initiatives for young volunteers, including Padyatras, Rural Dissemination and internships in Jan Aushadhi centers.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has presented an ambitious summer commitment plan for young citizens under its badge Platform Mera Yuva Bharat (My Bharat). The initiative aims to connect young people with the growth history of India through learning, exposure and construction activities of the Nation in all sectors.

A series of programs for the coming months have been aligned, beginning with a tribute to the combatants of freedom and taxpayers to India’s trip. In May, my Bharat volunteers will participate in activities under the vibrant scheme of the village. They will spend a week in remote villages throughout the Himalayas region, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Leh and Ladakh. Their tasks will include educating the villagers about the central government schemes, helping with inscriptions, making cultural and health events, and collecting comments to transmit to the appropriate departments. Each team will include five my Bharat volunteers and five local volunteers. At the end, participants will receive a certificate from the government of India.

“Under the Yuva Connect program, Viksit Bharat’s spirit and vision will be taken to young people living in border villages, inspiring them to contribute to the nation’s development trip,” an official told CNN-NEWS18.

In June, the Ministry will launch a 15 -day internship program at 1,200 Jan Aushadhi Kendras selected from 15,000 throughout India. Volunteers will obtain practical experience in the operations of these centers, learning about the manufacture of medicines, distribution processes and their role in affordable medical care to the weakest economically.

“In these centers, young volunteers will obtain all the information about the drug manufacturing process and their distribution mechanisms,” said an official.

In addition, a similar commitment plan for the winter months is being marked to guarantee the participation of young people throughout the year.

Currently, 1.70 crore volunteers are registered on the My Bharat portal.
