| Indian retail inflation has fallen to a minimum of 6 years, with the consumer price index (CPI) falling to 3.34% in March 2025. This significant decrease is attributed to a strong decrease in food prices, vegetables and fish. Food inflation reached its lowest point since November 2021, with 2.69%. The Bank of the India Reserve has reviewed its inflation prognosis by 2025-26 to 4%, citing better perspectives for food prices.
