A sub -inspector of the suspended police from Beed on Monday (April 14, 2025) said that some people had offered him to carry out a “encounter” or Walmik Karad, mistreated in the case of murder Sarpanch Santosh Dshmukh.

Ranjeet Kasle, the suspended police officer, also said that he had mentioned the names of the people who made the sacrifice at a Diarly Local Police station.

However, a senior police officer of Beed dismissed Kasle’s claims as unfounded and said he should present proof of his statements.

Ranjeet Kasle was suspended before when he was a sub -inspector in the department of local cyber crimes.

DSHMUKH, Massa Jog Village’s Sarpanch in the Maharashtra bees district, was kidnapped and tortured to death on December 9 of last year allegedly for trying to stop an energy aimed at an energy company.

Karad is among the eight people arrested so far and reserved under the strict organized control or crime law of Maharashtra (Mcoca).

The State Crime Investigation Department (CID) last month presented a sheet of charges of more than 1,200 pages in a court in Beed in the murder of Despmukh and two related cases.

Talking to a regional news channel, Kasle said that some people had approached him with a sacrifice to carry out the “encounter” or Karad.

“A team of a few people gave me this sacrifice and I mentioned their names in the newspaper of the station. The sacrifice was only for Walmik Karad and it took me a while before being suspended, saying that I cannot commit super,” he said.

“They make a global sum sacrifice of ₹ 10, 20, 50 million rupees. A person who can do this is called … as I was with the cyber department and had no connection with this case, but they made me the sacrifice they knew I had guts,” he said.

Referring to the death of custody of the case of sexual aggression of Badlapur accused of Akshay Shinde, Kasle said that the seated ordered by the Superior Court of Bombay should be from the central government, then the truth will only come out.

When asked about Kasle’s claims, a senior Beed Police official said: “All things have no basis. It should present evidence of what you are talking about. Whatever you are doing is not in work ethics.”

Kasle has already been suspended and a preliminary investigation (PE) against him is underway. Police have sent a warning to Kasle, but has not yet accepted, the official added.
