Government committed to provide impetus to handlooms and textiles sector, says Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu

It was a speaking at the inaugural ceremony of an export -oriented device manufacturing unit of Puntuate World Limited, a Subsidiary of Texport Industries Private Limited, based in Bengaluru, on the team on Friday. Mr. Tummala Naatwara Rao said that the Telangana government has cleared the pending quotas of ₹ 914 million rupees for weavers, loans renounced from up to ₹ 1 Lakh for a sum of ₹ 34 million rupees for weavers and service provider orders of ₹ 900 crore.

Mr. Ponnam Prabhakar highlighted several tasks of Congress government initiatives to ensure sustained support for Weavers and Powerloom workers in the Sircilla Textile Center. The Government made orders for the production of Saris with syrup weavers to distribute two Saris to the members of the self -help groups for women at no cost.

He said that the creation of the clothing manufacturing unit in Apparel Park will help create employment opportunities for weavers and local workers.
