HC stays order on Metrorail station

A Division Bank of the Superior Court of Madras held on Tuesday the operation of a single judge on March 12, 2025 against the decision of Chennai Meto Rail Limited (CMRL) to build a subway station in the Insurance Company of United India Ater.

Judges Smubamaniam and K. Rajasekar granted the provisional stay in accordance with a written appeal preferred by the Aalayam Kropmom Foundation and ordered a notice, returning for four weeks, to UIIC. The stay was granted after the main lawyer, Ps Raman, said that CMRL wanted to move forward with his plan to acquire UIIC lands.
